Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston provides a comprehensive network of social services aimed at promoting and facilitating self-sufficiency. They offer support and opportunities that empower people and communities to grow and have repeatedly referred their clients to HCC.

Eastend Chambers

The Houston East End Chamber of Commerce is the tenth largest chamber in a ten county region including the City of Houston. HCC Outreach Services is a member to build relationships with business and creates partnerships.

Goodwill has been a major partner of HCC providing education, training and job opportunities to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, improving the lives of individuals, families and communities.

Gulf Coast Community Service Association

Gulf Coast Community Service Association exists to strengthen the educational, social, and economic well-being of individuals and families as they move toward independence and self-sufficiency. Through 2011-2012 GCCSA has sponsored over 200 students in certification programs.

Greater Houston Business Procurement Forum

The Greater Houston Business Procurement Forum was established in 1991 to be a world class Forum uniquely designed to provide advocates an opportunity to promote and enhance the success of "Economically and Socially Disadvantaged Businesses," that is held at HCC facility.

Harris County Department of Education

Harris County Department of Education provides educational resources to school districts and the general public throughout Harris County and beyond. Services include adult education, programs to promote safe schools, after-school programs, therapy services, and professional development for educators, special schools, and alternative certification.

Harris County Protective Services for Children and Adults

Harris County works with communities to protect children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It also works to protect the health and safety of children in daycare, as well as foster care and other types of 24-hour care. HCC has continuously provided educational services to clients of CPS of Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff’s Department

The Mission of the Harris County Sheriff's Office is, to enhance the safety and protect the trust of the citizens of Harris County by enforcing the law with integrity and professionalism. The Sheriff’s office has partnered with HCC who provided training in 5 locations with about 400 inmates weekly for over 34 years to help the advancement of their education.

Houston Area Urban League

The Urban League is the nation’s oldest and largest community based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. The mission of the Houston Area Urban League is to enable African Americans and other minorities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. HCC has partnered with the Houston Urban League in youth services and grant development annually.

Houston Food Bank

The Houston Food Bank is America’s largest food bank in distribution to its network of nearly 600 hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties.  Additional community services range from nutrition and education.  HCC teaches GED classes at their facility.

Houston-Galveston Area Council

Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is the regional organization through which local governments consider issues and cooperate in solving area-wide problems. HCC is in regular attendance at Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) board meetings. Topics of discussion include anticipation and prevention of problems in order to save public funds.

Interfaith Ministries

Interfaith Ministries (IM) believes that through service and dialogue, it is possible for a diverse group of people to find common ground while maintaining their personal beliefs and cultures. Interfaith Ministries is a contactor of Houston-Galveston Gulf Coast region to operate Workforce Centers.

Neighborhood Centers Inc.

Neighborhood Centers Inc. believes in investing in people. They have a fundamental respect for individuals and their dignity, regardless of their situation in life. Neighborhood Centers Inc. is a contactor of Houston-Galveston Gulf Coast region to operate Workforce Centers and strives to have a supportive environment where people can grow physically, intellectually, and emotionally. 

 

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services to the employers and job seekers of Texas. This in turn strengthens the Texas economy by providing the workforce development component of the Governor's economic development strategy.
