CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
The HCC-Cisco Network Academy CCNA prepares the student to install, set up, configure, troubleshoot and operate a medium-sized routed and switched computer network. This also includes implementing and verifying connections to a wide area network (WAN).
The Cisco Networking Academy program helps students build skills such as collaboration and problem-solving by encouraging practical application of knowledge through hands-on activities and network simulations. With the use of Packet Tracer simulation and visualization software, students create, configure, and troubleshoot complex simulated networks.
CCNA curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be prepared for the CCNA Certification.
Prerequisite: Students must have CompTIA A+ and Network+ certificates or 12 months working in the networking field.
