Demand of carpenters is projected to grow as fast as the average for all occupations. Increased levels of new homebuilding and remodeling activity will require more carpenters. Carpenters are involved in many different types of construction. They construct, repair, and install building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials. Carpenters work indoors and outdoors on many types of construction projects, from installing kitchen cabinets to building highways and bridges.
