American Apprenticeship Grant Program
Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship – The Houston Community College American Apprenticeship Initiative Grant provides a Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program designed to deliver 20 weeks of workforce related instruction. This instruction will prepare individuals for jobs in a retail environment with CVS Health and growth in the pharmacy field once graduates are employed.
Plumbers Apprenticeship – The Houston Community College American Apprenticeship Initiative Grant provides a 5 year Plumber Apprenticeship program. This program includes classroom related instruction with a newly added 20 hour Digital Plumbing Layout & Design course. Successful completers of this approved Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program are eligible to receive up to 36 college credit hours toward their Associates degree in Applied Science and Construction Management as a Houston Community College student.
Information Technology Apprenticeship – The Houston Community College American Apprenticeship Initiative Grant provides an Information Technology Apprenticeship Program. This program is designed to provide apprenticeship opportunities to Houston Community College graduates with an Associates of Applied Science Degree. Graduates will have an opportunity to develop a career as a Computer Systems Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Engineer with JP Morgan Chase.
